Lighten Up East Texas
Every January, our annual weight loss challenge opens, so that anyone over the age of 18 who enters and loses 5% of their weight will have a chance to win one of our fabulous prizes.
More than 6,000 individuals have worked to lose more than 60,000 pounds since 2012, and we are excited to assist even more East Texans to achieve their goals.
Fit For Life Youth Art Contest
Fit City Tyler invites all aspiring artists in grades K-12 to submit their original works of art in our
annual "Fit for Life" Youth Art Contest, sponsored by the Cooperative Teachers Credit Union.
Students are encouraged to submit original artwork pieces following the theme of “Fit for Life.”
Artwork will be judged in four age categories based on creativity in expression of the theme:
• Kindergarten through second grade
• Third through fifth grade
• Sixth through eighth grade
• Ninth through twelfth grade
The contest is open to any K-12 student that attends a public, private or charter school in East Texas.
First, second and third place winners will be awarded cash prizes at our annual

Healthiest Workplaces in Tyler
On the morning of February 2nd, 2018 Fit City Tyler held the annual Heart Health Breakfast and recognized fifteen (15) local companies who completed an application that justified their existing workplace wellness programs.
The winning companies included the Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County (who have a total of 6 employees), the City of Tyler (over 100 employees), Trane (over 1,000 employees) and CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances (3,000+ employees).
Any company of any size, regardless of your number of employees, can apply for our 2019 application.
